Only good food was the private dinner in the wine cellar room!!! The burger, ice cream and cafe near the lobby! The friendly and accommodating staff, I mean I have to stress if not for the staff in this resort we would have had a terrible time. The pools in the hotel, the kids pool, the hot tub pool and the see through pool! My overall experience is that I liked the hotel and resort as a whole, but I’m going to definitely outline my pros and cons and I will say that I would probably never go back here again even though I had a great time that’s my honest opinion!
#Dreams onyx punta cana excursions plus
One plus is that the beach is beautiful and that’s about it.Īgain, if you want to visit Punta Cana I suggest the Hard Rock Resort!! The other hours are for the “big kids”.Īlso pools are only open from 10am-6pm which is also unfortunate for those who want to swim late. It is a cute area for the kids but it is unfortunate that the kids can only play for one hour of the day. There is a kids water park or “clubhouse” but if you have a toddler or small child they can ONLY play from 3-4pm only for ONE HOUR. The workers truly are rude and do not care about customer service. They were speaking about us in Spanish and then finally kicked us out for the baby not having a shirt. Also my family and I got kicked out of the carnival buffet restaurant for the baby not having a shirt (we just got done swimming), there were other customers with just cover ups on. It does not feel like an all inclusive resort as the food proportions are small. As far as room service, there is about 3 options for food and it is terrible. Unfortunately the food is not good at dreams onyx. The food is amazing and workers are extremely nice. The first time my family and I stayed at Hard Rock Resort, which is 100% would recommend over this resort. This is my second time visiting Punta Cana. Very clean.I usually am not the type to leave google reviews but I feel this is necessary. Great time in Dominican Republic would recommend to anyone. If your not traveling with children I think the proffered club package is worth it, but with kids not needed. Good family resort age appropriate for everyone. Kids core zone was kinda lacking for kids entertainment but not a big deal because resort has enough entertainment and activities that are family friendly. Also a bit disappointed the tall big waterside was closed, one of the reasons I choose this resort over others so think it’s important to consider when booking. But resort restaurants were amazing so we never had any other issues at the a la carte restaurants. Even my husband had a tough time finding something he liked. My only disappointment was with the dinner buffet, many options but not for picky eaters like children. Javier sent us daily activity updates as well so we always knew what was happening that day. Overview Located on the Dominican Republics northeastern coast, wrapped between nature and ocean, lies Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa.

Everything else was on point so need to bother. We didn’t require much assistance from him because the resort was so straight forward and only one restaurant required reservations. We had a concierge Javier Valdez who was incredibly helpful and checked on us constantly. Many staff members went out of their way to see if we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Everyone who worked here seems to enjoy their job and seemed as though we were never a bother if we needed assistance. Temperatures rarely dip below 70 degrees nor rarely exceed 90 degrees.

Opened in 2005, this property is located in the southeastern region of the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Dreams Resort Punta Cana is one of three all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic that are a part of AMResorts, owned by Apple Vacations of Philadelphia. My family and I really enjoyed this resort.
